Aaron Rust's background in fine woodworking finds an unlikely partner in the chainsaw and backhoe construction that is coursebuilding. He learned the craft of precision woodworking and fine furniture making from world-reknown chairmaker Brian Boggs, with 7 years experience as Shop Foreman. Aaron learned the art of chainsaw carving and course construction from friends and colleagues Mathew Langeliers and Mick Costello.
What he brings now to coursebuilding is a style all his own. Aaron has been building for the Rolex Kentucky Three Day Event since 1999. He builds portable and installed fences for Baby Novice through the Five Star level, including Rolex, Team Challenge, Flying Cross, Pony Club, and Spring Bay. He looks forward to building for the FEI Alltech World Games at the Kentucky Horse Park in 2010--work that begins immediately following Rolex 2009.
Aaron was honored to accept the USEA's award for Coursebuilder of the Year at the New Orleans Convention in December, 2008.
Aaron Beale hails from Berea, Kentucky, and is here to keep us honest to our fine woodworking roots. Partners in managing the Chairshop for Brian Boggs, the Aarons have worked together for 8 years. Beale's analytical mind and attention to detail help us to pull all this off. Plus, his B.A. in History and years of experience as a Swimming Coach have proved invaluable out in the field.
Tobia Bingham, strong as an ox and smarter than Einstein, brings the youth factor to Equistruction. Our backs thank him for it. A super hard worker and one of the so-called "Amish Four" that make up Equistruction, Tobia is the grease that keeps our gears turning.
Isaac Bingham is the only one around here who really knows something. His carpentry skills are unparalled, and his smarts keep us on the right track. Little known fact: He's not Amish. None of us are.
Ben Iversham has that "can do" spirit. If you need something done and done right--in a hurry--Ben is your man. He also serves as our resident apiarist, a surprisingly handy skill to have around in the world of coursebuilding.
Special thanks to our Guru, Mick Costello, who always makes sure we have what we need.
